Day 6 leaves Brig on the famous Glacier Express narrow gauge train. The train climbs up the Rhône Valley to Andermatt and then makes its spectacular journey towards the Oberalp Pass. The Glacier Express train descends through scenic pasture and woodland to the Rhine. The Glacier Express trips includes lunch on board served at your First Class seat.

Day 7 is a round trip on the narrow to gauge Bernina Express from Chur to Poschiavo an back to Chur. The day tour features waterfalls, deep ravines and viaducts before climbing over the Bernina Pass to more than 7,000ft.

Day 8 is a leisure day in the town of Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland. Options include a train tour to Arosa.

The Glacier Express A Great Rail Journey

This Swiss train tour is one you could consider when planning your European vacation. This tour includes a two to person Swiss Travel Pass, giving unlimited travel on most trains, buses and lake steamers. It also includes entry to most museums during your stay in Switzerland.

Day one of this tour is from London St Pancras by Eurostar to the French capital of Paris. The tour then crosses Paris by coach to Dijon.
